Hangzhou Motor’s back-pressure steam turbine cannot have its speed reduced. The current signal matching the on-site secondary oil pressure proves that there is no issue with the electro-hydraulic converter. The most likely cause of the malfunction is incorrect throttle control; the spool in this case can rotate, ruling out the possibility that the spool is stuck. Another obvious issue is that the ejector pin on the throttle spool sometimes rotates, whereas a normal ejector pin should not rotate. The turbine has not been overhauled for seven or eight years.
Thoroughly clean and clear the small holes on the throttle rotation disc; this has a significant impact on the proper functioning of the governor. At the same time, take samples of the lubricating oil used in the machine to monitor it, especially with regard to the coating properties of the lubricating oil.
