Axial clearance issue in multi-stage centrifugal pumps

Multi-stage centrifugal pump, equipped with a balance disk and thrust bearings; the thrust bearings are Kingsbury bearings. What is the axial installation clearance between the balance disk and the thrust disks? What if the thrust bearings are angular contact bearings used in pairs?
The selection of bearings is determined based on the design values of the pressure difference before and after the multi-stage centrifugal pump, as well as other parameters; it cannot be decided arbitrarily……
