Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. has formulated a strategy to create \"molecular factories\" for coal-to-oil production; the lubricant production project is set to start next year. Author/Source: Coal Chemistry News. Date: 2019-08-28. Clicks: 11. In recent years, **Energy Group Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. has aimed to achieve operation within one year, full capacity operation within the same year, and profit generation within that same period. It has maintained an operation rate of over 90% for its oil production facilities, which has forced well-known international manufacturers to withdraw from the competition in the field of single-nozzle dry coal powder pressurized gasification technology in China. This development has also enabled China to have the capability to export large-scale coal-to-oil chemical processing technologies and equipment abroad. On August 19, the event \"Growing Together with the Republic: New Media Explores New State-Owned Enterprises – The Energy Revolution\", organized by the News Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and guided jointly by the Internet Review Bureau of the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Publicity Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, explored how one of the coal chemical demonstration projects – a 4-million-ton-per-year coal indirect liquefaction project – has managed to find unique ways to achieve profitability and set new benchmarks in an industry facing challenging economic conditions. **The Energy Group’s 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction demonstration project is a key demonstration project for deep coal processing during the **12th Five-Year Plan period**. The estimated investment for this project is 58.6 billion yuan, making it the largest chemical project in the world’s petrochemical and coal chemical industries in terms of one-time investment required for its construction. The project was fully completed on December 21, 2016. During its construction, **37 major tasks related to the domestic development of technologies, equipment, and materials were undertaken; the proportion of domestically produced equipment for this project reached 98.5%, exceeding the required level of **85% for domestic production. It has helped improve a number of domestic equipment manufacturing enterprises.
