The construction of the wastewater and brine treatment systems for the completion project of Yucheng Petrochemical’s Phase I project is progressing smoothly. As of October 21, 223 pieces of equipment have been installed, 3,900 meters of process pipelines have been installed, over 6,500 inches of pipeline prefabrication work has been completed, and 3,000 meters of electrical trunking has been installed. It is reported that for the completion and improvement works of the first phase of the Yulin Energy Chemical Project, there are a total of 423 units of equipment for treating recycled water and brine; over 27,000 meters of process pipelines; 228,890 meters of electrical cables; 160 pieces of electrical equipment; 14,429 meters of electrical trunking; 137,290 meters of instrument cables; and 1,020 instrument components. The completion and improvement project for the first phase of Shaanxi Yanchang China Coal Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. (Yanchang Jingbian Phase II project) involves an investment of 14.413 billion yuan. Using coal and natural gas as raw materials, this project aims to build an integrated facility capable of producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of methanol-to-olefins products, 400,000 tons per year of polypropylene, and 300,000 tons per year of low-density polyethylene/ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (LDPE/EVA). The project is scheduled to be put into operation in the second half of 2020. Once operational, Yueneng Chemical’s polyolefin production capacity will reach 1.9 million tons per year, making it the largest polyolefin production project in Shaanxi Province at present.
