Recently, more than 90% of the main construction work for the first phase of this comprehensive coking wastewater treatment plant, funded by Sinochem Engineering Group Corporation, has been completed, and the plant is about to be put into operation. Guo Haixin, chief engineer of Sinochem Engineering Group Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. and chairman of Xiaoyi Sinochem Engineering Group Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., told reporters that the main facilities of the project include biochemical treatment, reclaimed water treatment, concentrated brine treatment, highly concentrated brine treatment, and auxiliary systems. The main processing technique utilizes the patented DJM resin adsorption technology developed by Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. Compared with current advanced wastewater treatment methods used in the coal coking industry, it offers advantages such as lower overall investment costs, higher recovery rates, and reduced operating expenses. The project is scheduled to be fully completed by June 15 and enter the trial operation phase, with the treatment of the first batch of coking wastewater starting in September. Zhang Shufeng, director of the Xiaoyi Wutong Coal Chemical Industry Park, explained that treating wastewater from coking processes is extremely difficult, and the choice of treatment technology is particularly important. Sinochem possesses advanced and mature proprietary technologies for treating wastewater from coking processes. By constructing wastewater treatment plants on a centralized basis within the industrial park, zero wastewater discharge across the entire park can be achieved. This approach also helps to significantly reduce the environmental protection costs for coking enterprises, providing solid support for the technological upgrading of companies within the park. This project is jointly funded by Sinochem Engineering Group Environmental Protection Company and Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd., both subsidiaries of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation, and is built and operated under the BOT model. The total investment for the project is 470 million yuan, with construction carried out in two phases. Once completed, Phase 1 of the project will be able to treat 20,000 tons of wastewater generated by the enterprises in the park each day. Upon completion, the project will handle the industrial wastewater and treated wastewater from various enterprises in the park, and is expected to fully resolve the issues related to wastewater discharge and the comprehensive utilization of waste heat resulting from the technological upgrades of the coking enterprises in the park. It holds great significance for improving the regional water environment.
