Recently, the air separation unit intended to support the project aimed at adjusting the raw material and energy supply for Anhui Quansheng Chemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Anhui Jinmei Zhongneng Chemical Co., Ltd., was tested. It is reported that this set of turbine and compressor units uses entirely imported equipment; the turbine in question is a condensing turbine supplied by MAN Energy Solutions ; The air separation unit was designed and manufactured by Hangyang Group, with a designed oxygen production capacity of 40,000 Nm3/h. It is reported that the turbine of this air separation unit began operating normally after being tuned on June 17, 2022, providing qualified air for the initial startup of the air separation process; the dew point levels resulting from purging were within acceptable limits. On June 25, 2022, the expander was started to facilitate cooling, as well as to detect leaks through natural cooling and to carry out reheating, all in order to ensure a smooth startup. The filling of pearlescent sand is currently in progress, and qualified oxygen and nitrogen products are expected to be produced by the middle to late part of this month. The raw material and power structure adjustment project for Anhui Quansheng Chemical’s 320,000-ton-per-year ammonia alcohol production facility utilizes HT-L powder gasification, Co-Mo wide-temperature sulfur-resistant shift reaction, low-temperature methanol washing for desulfurization and decarburization, low-pressure alcohol alkylation for gas purification, super Claus desulfurization, and a 15MPa synthesis process to build a new 320,000-ton-per-year ammonia synthesis plant. Project Overview: The project to adjust the raw material and energy supply for the plant that produces 320,000 tons of ammonia alcohol per year at Anhui Quansheng Chemical Co., Ltd., is located within the existing factory complex in the Yanchang Industrial Park in Dingyuan County, Anhui Province. This project utilizes the space furnace powder gasification process to build a plant capable of producing 320,000 tons of ammonia alcohol and its downstream products per year, with a total budget of 1.8 billion yuan. It is reported that the contract signed by the two parties this time amounts to 300 million yuan, and this project is also the largest flue gas treatment project currently underway in China’s coal chemical industry. With the high-quality development of the energy-saving and environmental protection industry, Jinmei Group is continuously upgrading its traditional coal chemical industry; the construction of this project will fundamentally resolve the problem of exhaust gas pollution. The main construction components of the project include: utilizing existing production equipment for ammonia synthesis and urea production, and adopting the HT-L pressurized continuous coal gasification technology, as well as the Co-Mo wide-temperature sulfur-tolerant shift process, low-pressure alcohol alkylation for gas purification, and a 15MPa synthesis process to build a 320,000 t/a ammonia synthesis plant. Additionally, steam turbine compression technology and the CO2 stripping method for urea synthesis are used to construct a 520,000 t/a urea production plant. Supporting facilities such as storage and transportation systems, auxiliary systems, and environmental protection measures are also included. Meanwhile, the existing 120,000 t/a fixed-bed gas generation ammonia synthesis plant and the 130,000 t/a aqueous solution cycle urea production plant will be phased out.
