Supplementary Notice on the “Training on Treatment Technologies for High-Salt-Water in Coal Chemical Industry and Mine Water, as well as the Promotion Meeting for Two Group Standards: ‘Industrial Sodium Sulfate Produced as a By-Product in Coal Chemical Industry’” To all members and relevant organizations: In order to encourage coal chemical enterprises to utilize salt separation and crystallization technologies for the treatment of high-salt wastewater, thereby enabling resourceful, standardized, and systematic utilization of such wastewater as well as the production of useful products, and to address the issue of harmless disposal of impurities in wastewater treatment processes aimed at achieving near-zero discharge in this industry, and to accelerate the sustainable development of coal chemical enterprises, the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association has formulated and issued two group standards: ‘Industrial Sodium Sulfate Produced as a By-Product in Coal Chemical Industry’ (T/CCT 001-2019) and ‘Industrial Sodium Chloride Produced as a By-Product in Coal Chemical Industry’ (T/CCT 002-2019). These two group standards will come into effect on January 1, 2020. In accordance with the Notice of the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association on Issuing the Interim Measures for the Implementation of 2 Group Standards (Trial) (China Coal Processing and Utilization Association [2019] No. 30), in order to ensure the proper implementation of these two group standards as well as to maintain quality control and manage their distribution, the event originally scheduled to be held in Tianjin on November 11, 2019, by the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association – namely, the Training Session on Treatment Technologies for High-Salt-Wastewater in Coal Chemical Industry and the Promotion Meeting for the Group Standards “Sodium Sulfate Produced as a By-Product in Coal Chemical Industry” and “Sodium Chloride Produced as a By-Product in Coal Chemical Industry” (China Coal Processing and Utilization Association [2019] No. 40) – has been rescheduled to December 17–21, 2019. The relevant details are as follows: I. Note: The duration of the experts’ lectures may be slightly adjusted; the actual schedule will be subject to what is arranged at the training site. IV. Eligible Participants 1. System management, technical, and quality inspection personnel from organizations that intend to adopt 2 group standards such as \"Coal Chemical Industry – By-product Industrial Sodium Sulfate\" ； 2. Management, technology, and operators of wastewater treatment systems in industrial enterprises ； 3. Operation technology of wastewater treatment plants in industrial parks and operators ； 4. Technical personnel and operators from third-party sewage treatment operation companies ； 5. Environmental protection managers for newly established coal chemical enterprises ； 6. Engineering companies involved in crystallization salt separation. V. Issuance of Certificates: To ensure the effectiveness of this training session, participants will engage in a learning process that combines self-study with face-to-face instruction. Once they have completed the required number of class hours and passed the examinations, the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association together with the School of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Tianjin University of Science and Technology will issue a \"Certificate of Completion\" (the criteria for completion are: attending no less than 80% of the total class hours and passing the examinations). This certificate will serve as one of the necessary conditions for entities adopting group standards to apply and register. VI. Fees and Registration 1. A conference fee will be charged for this event: 3,500 yuan per person for member organizations, and 3,800 yuan per person for non-member organizations. Accommodation will be arranged separately at the participant’s own expense. The organization of the conference has been entrusted to Beijing Fandi Energy Consulting Center. 2. Applicants are requested to complete the registration form and send it by email or fax to the organizing committee by November 31, 2019. The organizing committee will make overall arrangements based on the feedback received, and will send you a formal notice of the class within one week before the event. 3. Students who need a Certificate of Qualification should bring 2 two-inch bareheaded ID photos, as well as their valid identification document and a copy of it when registering. 4. After receiving the class notification, the registering organization should remit the conference fee to the designated account and call to confirm.
