On December 11, 2019, the group’s scientific and technological project “Process Package for the 5,000 tons/day KSY Industrialization Unit”, undertaken by the Hydrocarbon Research Center, passed expert review. The review expert group consisted of Professor Ma Xiaoxun from Northwest University, Professor Zhou Anning from Xi’an University of Science and Technology, and three senior design experts from Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. Wang Ningbo, the chief engineer of the center, relevant technical staff from Beijing Engineering Company, as well as heads and technical personnel from relevant departments of the center attended the meeting. At the meeting, the technical staff from the Coal Chemistry Institute reported on the completion status of the process package for the 5,000 tons/day KSY industrialization plant. The expert group carefully reviewed the process package documents; after inquiries and discussions, they unanimously agreed that the documents were complete, standardized, and well-documented, with content and depth that met the requirements specified in the process design package guidelines for petrochemical plants (SPMP-STD-EM2001 version 2016). They also proposed further improvement plans and suggestions. Next, the project team will make revisions based on the suggestions provided by the expert group, and submit the final version of the process package documents as soon as possible, in order to lay the foundation for the industrial demonstration of KSY technology
