Recently, the 60% model review for the new gasifier project at CNOOC Huizhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd., which is under EPC contracting by Huisheng Engineering, was successfully completed at CNOOC’s Coal-to-Gas Project Department. The new gasifier project is an important initiative for CNOOC Huizhou Petrochemicals to enhance capacity and increase production, and the company attaches great importance to this three-day model review. All professionals from CNOOC Huizhou Petrochemical, including those in charge of processes, equipment, and instrumentation, attended the meeting. The process package team from East China University of Science and Technology was also invited to conduct a thorough review of the model regarding aspects such as plant layout, equipment lifting, pipeline arrangement, valve maintenance, and preparations for subsequent commissioning. Within just three months, from 30% model review to 60% model review, a preliminary design review was also carried out in between. Huisheng Engineering obtained the EPC general contract for this project in May 2021, with a total construction period of 17 months. During the project execution phase, design, procurement, and construction activities overlapped significantly. The 60% model review served as a crucial milestone that linked previous stages with subsequent ones, laying a solid foundation for the timely, high-quality, and efficient delivery of the project.
