Investment of 8 billion yuan in Ordos coal chemical project: contracts signed and construction commenced / Source: Huahua Net Coal Chemicals, Date: 2020-04-16, Clicks: 7. On April 14, the ceremony for signing contracts for investment promotion projects for the spring of 2020 and the commencement of major projects was held in the Ordos Jiangsu Industrial Park in Yijinhuoluo Banner, Inner Mongolia. On that day, 14 projects were signed, with a total investment of 21.609 billion yuan ; 10 projects are set to commence construction simultaneously, with a total investment of 5.934 billion yuan. The projects that are set to begin construction and for which contracts have been signed cover various fields such as modern energy and chemical industry, coal transportation, new materials, healthcare and elderly care, as well as equipment manufacturing. Among them is the Penghui Energy project for the comprehensive utilization of 6 million tons per year of low-grade coal. This project is planned to be located in the Ordos Shengyuan Coal Chemical Industry Base, covering an area of 153 mu, with a total investment of 4.971 billion yuan. Construction of this project is scheduled to begin in 2020; the project registration has been completed and preliminary work is underway, with completion and operation planned for 2022. The project is planned to be constructed in three phases. Phase 1 will involve building a production line with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons of coke, along with a coal washing system capable of processing 2 million tons per year, a gas purification system, and various auxiliary facilities ; The second phase of construction will feature a production line with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons of coke, along with a 400,000-ton methanol production system; space is also reserved for the further production of ethylene glycol from methanol ; Phase 3 involves the construction of a production line with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons of coke. The coal tar deep processing project of Yijinholo Xinnuo Zhengneng Chemical Co., Ltd. is located within the HuiNeng Industrial Zone of the Shengyuan Coal Chemical Industry Base, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. This project uses coal tar as raw material and employs a series of processes such as flashing, distillation for dehydration, vacuum distillation, and heating separation of asphalt to produce chemical products including light oil, phenol oil, washing oil, anthracene oil, and asphalt. Upon completion of the project, the annual processing capacity for coal tar will be 300,000 tons, and the products can be widely used in the fields of clean energy, aromatic hydrocarbon raw materials, and the production of carbon electrodes. The project will be constructed in three phases. The main construction elements include a production unit area, a crude oil storage area, a product oil storage area, an automobile loading/unloading station, a power distribution and control room for the units, a central control room, a laboratory, a circulating water pump room (including a foam station), external pipelines, and auxiliary facilities (including air compressors, nitrogen generation equipment, warehouses, and maintenance areas). The investment for Phase 1 is 80 million yuan; this phase focuses on the construction of facilities for the deep processing of 300,000 tons of coal tar and related systems. Completion is expected by the end of September 2020 ; The second-phase investment amounts to about 700 million yuan, primarily for the construction of tar hydrogenation and related facilities ; Phase 3 involves an investment of around 720 million yuan, intended to further increase the production capacity for coal tar and tar hydrogenation; the project is expected to be completed by December 2023. The operational headquarters of Inner Mongolia Shengyuan Technology Company, as well as the projects for catalyst and special oil production, are planned to be located in the eastern section of the Jiangsu Industrial Park in Ordos. The total land area covered by these facilities will be 600 mu, with a total investment of 950 million yuan; the funds for this investment will come from the company itself. Construction of this project is scheduled to begin in 2020; preliminary work is currently underway, with completion and operation planned for 2022. Manage the headquarters project. The project requires an investment of 150 million yuan and covers an area of 80 mu. The main constructions include office buildings, a research building for the clean and efficient utilization of coal, laboratories for converting catalysts and coal tar into high-quality aviation fuel, postdoctoral (academician) research stations for coal-to-oil technology, expert apartments, staff dormitories, a restaurant, as well as auxiliary facilities such as heating and fire protection systems. Catalyst and specialty oil production projects. The project requires an investment of 800 million yuan and covers an area of 520 mu. The main facilities to be built include office buildings, production plants, raw material warehouses, semi-finished product warehouses, finished product warehouses, production lines for special oils along with related supporting facilities, an intelligent control room, as well as auxiliary facilities such as staff dormitories, restaurants, heating systems, fire protection measures, and sewage treatment systems. The project for upgrading the quality of mine water in the Burtai area of the Shendong Coal Branch is located in Wulamulun Town, with a total investment of 267.4 million yuan. The project construction includes the construction of new tertiary reverse osmosis membrane treatment workshops and evaporation crystallization workshops, along with supporting facilities such as regulation tanks, hardness removal pretreatment systems, ultrafiltration systems, and sludge treatment systems. Construction on the project began on April 15, 2020, with completion expected by the end of December 2021. Upon completion of the project, the quality of the mine water will meet the standards specified in the \"Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water\" (GB3838-2002), Class III, thereby preventing salts such as fluoride and chloride present in the mine water from entering aquatic bodies. The deeply treated product water can be used as drinking water for residents and as a high-quality source of water for agricultural irrigation. It is of great significance for alleviating water shortages in mining areas, improving the ecological environment there, and meeting the demands for water in both production and daily life to the greatest extent possible. The quality improvement and efficiency enhancement renovation project for the Burtai Coal Washing Plant of Shendong Coal is located within the premises of the Burtai Coal Washing Plant in Wulamulun Town. It covers an area of 3,240 square meters, with a total investment of 124 million yuan, funded by the company itself. By adding new sorting equipment, the project adopts a process flow that involves dry classification of raw coal at 25mm and 6mm sizes, shallow trough separation using heavy media for raw coal in the 200–25mm range, cyclone separation using heavy media for fines in the 25–6mm range; coal powder below -6mm is not subjected to washing. Coarse slime is recovered directly, while fine slime is recovered through pressure filtration combined with other methods, thereby improving both the efficiency and quality of coal sorting. The construction scope includes building a new dust removal workshop, as well as new trestles and transfer points. Construction on the project began on April 1, 2020, with completion expected in June 2021.
