Recently, Inner Mongolia Jinmao Carbon Materials Co., Ltd. disclosed the latest progress on the project. At present, the first phase of the project for comprehensive utilization of golden cat carbon material resources and the utilization of waste gas and heat has been completed, with operations scheduled to begin in April 2026. The total investment in the project is 1.5 billion yuan, covering an area of 400 mu. It includes the construction of a facility capable of producing 240,000 tons of carbon black per year, a boiler for treating carbon black exhaust gas with a capacity of 160 tons per hour, as well as the development of steam pipeline networks for the industrial park; in addition, there is also a facility for the deep processing of 400,000 tons of coal tar per year. The project is constructed in two phases: Phase 1 involves an estimated total investment of 500 million yuan, with the construction of 2 carbon black production lines with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons each, 2 sets of carbon black exhaust gas boilers with a capacity of 40 tons per hour, as well as the development of the steam pipeline network required for the industrial park; this phase covers an area of 170 mu. Phase II project: In line with the increased coking capacity of Inner Mongolia Heimao Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., it is planned to invest an additional 1 billion yuan, acquire 230 mu of new land, build 2 carbon black production lines with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons each, 2 sets of carbon black exhaust gas boilers with a capacity of 40 tons per hour, as well as the necessary steam pipeline infrastructure for the industrial park, in addition to a facility for the deep processing of 400,000 tons of coal tar per year. The second-phase project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2027.
