On May 23, the concrete pouring for the foundation slabs related to the slag water treatment system of the powder coal gasification unit in the 1.8 million tons/year ethylene glycol plant, which is under the general contracting of Tianchen Company, was completed. This marks the successful attainment of the second milestone in the progress of slag water treatment for this unit, 8 days ahead of schedule, thereby laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the concrete framework structure for slag water treatment. The slag treatment for the pulverized coal gasification unit consists of two reinforced concrete frames, I and II. Each frame has a structure with four floors in total, and the overall height of the frames is 30.500 meters. The quantities required for constructing these two frames include 35 tons of rebar, 2,200 square meters of formwork, 839 cubic meters of concrete for pouring, and 6,600 cubic meters of soil for backfilling.
