Progress of the Methanol Production Project from Electric Furnace Exhaust Gases at Inner Mongolia Ruizhi Author/Source: Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. Date: 2021-10-29 Clicks: 15 The methanol production project utilizing electric furnace exhaust gases from the Jiti Ferroalloy Project in Inner Mongolia uses these exhaust gases as raw material; after gas purification and separation, methanol is synthesized, with an annual production capacity of 175,000 tons. Since construction resumed at the beginning of the year, the project has reached several key milestones. At present, the main framework of the methanol distillation unit for this project has been constructed; 5 layers of the methanol synthesis unit have been built. The main frameworks of the hydrogen recovery unit area and the desulfurization unit area have also been completed. Two-thirds of the steel structure work has been finished, and pipeline prefabrication has begun. The foundation construction work for related warehouse, utility tunnel and other civil engineering facilities has been completed. The supporting facilities have been installed, and the construction of the main structural elements such as chemical tanks and circulation pump rooms is complete. The installation of equipment in the TSA plant area is progressing smoothly, with completion expected by November 10th.
