Recently, the zero-discharge system for high-salinity wastewater developed by Zhongan United passed the performance assessment tests, marking a key step forward in this project, which is part of Sinopec’s “Ten Dragon” technology development program, toward achieving completion by the end of this year. In accordance with environmental assessment requirements, the Zhongan United Coal Chemical Project must achieve zero wastewater discharge. The technology for recycling some of the high-salinity wastewater generated during the production process in industrial facilities is highly challenging; to date, there are no mature technologies or projects in operation both domestically and internationally. SinoSafe’s zero-discharge project for high-salinity wastewater was included by Sinopec in its “Ten Dragon” science and technology research projects. Led by Great Wall Energy Chemical, SinoSafe, SEI, Dalian Research Institute, and Beijing Research Institute jointly worked on developing this project. The process design was completed in January 2018; construction began on-site in December of the same year, and the facility was put into operation by the end of December 2019. After more than 8 months of continuous operation and optimization, the device met the requirements for performance testing in September of this year, and the calibration process began. Throughout this process, professional technicians were involved on-site throughout the entire operation, analyzing and summarizing the operational data as well as making timely adjustments to the operating conditions. After 72 hours of continuous full-load operation, all indicators met or exceeded the design values, successfully achieving the objectives set forth in the \"Ten Dragons\" technology development project. This serves as a model for achieving zero discharge of high-salt wastewater in coal chemical projects. (
