Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for Gansu Zhihui Green New Energy Co., Ltd.’s demonstration project on the clean and efficient utilization of 10 million tons per year of low-grade coal through classification and quality separation, in combination with new energy sources, was held. Project nature: New project. Project location: Liugou Coal Chemical Industry Park, Guazhou County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province. Project investment: 240,000 million yuan. Project details: This project is constructed in two phases. The first phase involves the development of a circular economy industrial chain for coal, electricity, oil, and gas; it includes the construction of a 6 million tons per year raw coal pyrolysis unit, a 4 million tons per year coal pyrolysis combined unit, 2×100 MW waste gas power generation units, a 600,000 tons per year coal tar hydrogenation combined unit, a 50,000 tons per year crude phenol refining unit, a 60,000 tons per year PBS production unit, a 150,000 tons per year special coking unit for lithium battery anode materials, as well as environmental protection facilities and auxiliary production facilities such as substations, cabinet rooms, sewage treatment systems, chemical water treatment plants, air and nitrogen supply stations, and plant flares ； The second part involves the integration of hydrogen energy with other energy sources, as well as the development of a complementary industrial chain; it includes the construction of 2×500MW wind farms and 2×500MW solar power plants, along with the necessary utility systems and supporting facilities.
