On September 29, after three days of performance testing conducted by Yangmei Chemical Group, the company’s Phase I project successfully passed the 72-hour operational assessment, producing 680.23 tons of BDO, 670.5 tons of methanol, and 850.2 tons of calcium carbide per day – all figures exceeding the parameters set in the initial design. The total investment for the company’s first-phase project is 11.3 billion yuan, with a land area of 4,480 mu. The main production facilities include: a 200,000-ton/year methanol plant, a 200,000-ton/year BDO plant, a 60,000-ton/year PTMEG plant, a 400,000-ton/year calcium carbide plant, 2×350MW captive power plants, as well as related utility and auxiliary facilities. Over the five years since the project’s inception, the employees of Yangmei Guotai Xinhua have worked together with one heart and one mind, upholding a spirit of resilience in the face of difficulties and a willingness to make sacrifices. They have braved severe cold, scorching heat, and sandstorms, overcoming numerous challenges such as harsh environmental conditions, arduous construction tasks, complex processing systems, and unprecedented difficulties in starting up the production process. As a result, they have built an advanced fine chemical circular economy industrial park in the desolate and quiet Junggar Desert region of Xinjiang, featuring state-of-the-art BDO production technology and top-quality products. In 2017, the project entered its final phase. The company’s leadership team assessed the situation carefully and took extraordinary measures; the employees worked hard to meet the project deadlines and made steady progress in its construction. On October 7, qualified calcium carbide was produced, on November 23, qualified pure methanol was manufactured, and on November 28, the BDO II unit produced BDO with a purity of 99.75%, reaching an advanced level compared to international standards in the industry ； Since the beginning of 2018, the company has focused on the key tasks of achieving full production capacity, meeting standards, and optimizing efficiency. It has made careful plans, detailed strategies, and taken multiple measures to ensure thorough implementation, thereby advancing the pilot production of the projects swiftly. On July 10, qualified PTMEG was produced; on July 30, Unit BDO I was put into operation successfully; and on August 6, Unit 2 of the company’s own power plant passed the 168-hour trial operation. Meanwhile, the first-phase project also passed the fire safety inspection and the completion inspection for safety facilities. The 72-hour performance test and acceptance of the project mark the entry of Xinjiang Guotai Xinhua Company into a new phase of development. Next, the staff of Guotai Xinhua will remain true to their original aspirations and keep their mission in mind. They will earnestly implement the new development concepts, actively seize the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative, and, in accordance with the principles of high standards, a high starting point, standardization, and modernization, carefully organize efforts to ensure that the first-phase projects reach full production capacity and operate efficiently. They will strive to achieve a production status characterized by safety, stability, longevity, full capacity, and excellence for all facilities, while also strengthening refined management to improve economic efficiency. At the same time, efforts are being made to plan the second phase of the park’s development as well as future plans, with the aim of expanding the industrial chain based on BDO and improving the park’s circular economy system. This will help to enhance the quality and efficiency of enterprise development, and strive to build a first-class circular economy industrial park for fine chemicals in China, thereby making positive contributions to the rapid development of the group company!
