Author/Source: Refining and Chemical Industry Updates Date: 2020-12-18 Clicks: 8 On December 15, Thirteenth Construction Company entered into a project procurement and construction contract with Alxa League Humin Energy Industry Co., Ltd. and Alxa League Donghai New Energy Industry Co., Ltd., with the contract value amounting to 660 million yuan. The Humei Energy Company project is located in the Bayin’ao Bao Industrial Park in Alxa League, Inner Mongolia. The construction scope includes a 10 million tons per year heavy medium separation coal washing plant, a 6 million tons per year coal coking facility, an 1.8 million tons per year methanol plant, a 600,000 tons per year olefins plant, a 400,000 tons per year LNG plant, a 300,000 tons per year deep processing plant for tar, a 100,000 tons per year activated carbon production plant, a 50,000 tons per year needle coke production plant, and a 150,000 tons per year benzene hydrogenation plant. It also includes all associated environmental protection facilities, safety systems, fire protection equipment, as well as other main installations and auxiliary engineering projects. The project covers an area of 4 square kilometers, with an estimated investment of 22 billion yuan; it will be built in three phases. The project makes extensive use of internationally advanced coal chemical processing technologies, enabling the demonstration and upgrading of modern coal chemistry as well as rapid technological progress. It helps to foster a circular and complementary economic system within the coal chemical and salt chemical industry chains in the Alxa League’s high-tech industrial development zone, optimizes the layout of these circular coal chemical industry chains, and promotes the development of new high-tech industries and materials related to coal chemistry. The scope of this contract includes a coking project with an annual capacity of 3 million tons, a methanol production plant with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, and a synthetic ammonia plant with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons; the construction period is 289 days.
