Recently, the project aimed at comprehensively utilizing calcium carbide furnace gas and waste coke powder to produce 100,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol at this company has passed the environmental protection assessment. At the acceptance meeting, the acceptance panel composed of relevant technical experts listened to a report presented by Liu Jun, the company’s deputy general manager, on the company’s basic situation and environmental protection measures related to the project. By conducting inspections, monitoring, and on-site checks of the operation of various environmental protection facilities in the production workshops, they concluded that effective pollution control measures had been taken during both the project construction and trial operation phases, that pollutant emissions were under effective control, and that the environmental protection requirements had been fulfilled. As a result, they unanimously agreed that the project met the conditions for environmental protection acceptance upon completion. At the same time, the acceptance team put forward specific requirements and suggestions for the company to carry out environmental protection efforts during its subsequent operation.
