Successful power supply and reception at the substation for the oil residue hydrogen production unit in Zhejiang Petrochemical’s Phase II project, undertaken by Sinochem Sixth Construction Company / Author/Source: Sinochem Sixth Construction Company / Date: 2021-03-22 / Clicks: 6. On March 16, the 10 kV high-voltage system and 0.4 kV low-voltage system of the 10 kV substation for the oil residue hydrogen production unit in Zhejiang Petrochemical’s 40 million tons/year integrated refining and chemical processing project (Phase II), which was built by Sinochem Sixth Construction Company, were successfully connected to the power supply. Located in the Green Petrochemical Base in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, this project is a **key project and one of the major initiatives in the development of the Zhejiang Free Trade Pilot Zone. Once the project is put into operation, it will have the largest petroleum refining capacity in Asia, which will be of great significance for supporting the domestic petrochemical industry and the refined oil market. The Southwest Branch is responsible for the coal and coke gas production units as well as the oil residue hydrogen production unit. The latter is the world’s first facility to use this process for hydrogen production, and upon completion, it will fill a gap in this field in China. The completion of this task provided strong support for the individual trial operation of Unit 1, the oil residue hydrogen production unit in this project.
