Recently, the resistance of the self-cleaning filters located at the inlet of the raw material air compressors in the air separation workshop of Fengxi’s Operations Department increased, resulting in difficulties for the compressors in drawing in air. To ensure the stable, economical, and efficient operation of the unit and to maintain an air supply volume of 42,000 Nm3/h for the air separation system, the air separation workshop has decided, after careful consideration, to replace 450 filter elements in the self-cleaning filters. After 8 consecutive hours of overtime work, the maintenance crew overcame various challenges encountered during the process, such as cold weather, high noise levels, and excessive dust. They successfully replaced 450 filter elements in the self-cleaning filters, which effectively reduced the resistance of these filters and improved the performance of the air intake system of the raw material air compressors. This ensured the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, while also laying a solid foundation for the long-term, optimal operation of the entire air separation system.
