At 13:58 on October 31st, construction workers delivered the last batch of concrete to the designated location at the construction site of the heat and power unit for Yueneng Chemical Company’s 400,000-ton coal-based ethylene glycol production project, and thus the chimney of this unit was successfully completed. The successful completion of the chimney for the thermoelectric unit marks the full finish of the civil engineering work related to this chimney for the company’s 400,000-ton coal-based ethylene glycol project, ensuring that the thermoelectric unit of this project can be commissioned as planned next year. It is reported that the chimney is cylindrical in shape, with a height of 180 meters and an outlet diameter of 6.04 meters; it constitutes one of the key components of the thermal power unit for the company’s ethylene glycol project. Since construction began on the chimney foundation on April 3 this year, and despite various challenges such as rising prices of raw materials during the construction period, 210 days of intensive work were carried out, and the structure was successfully completed on October 31.
