As the price of urea in the market has continued to rise recently, the production load in Huarui Company’s urea production unit has increased steadily. On May 11, due to the impact of the previous shift, the system load was reduced by 50%. At the morning meeting in the workshop, it was decided to take advantage of this reduction to carry out maintenance on Pump #1 ammonium pump. While handling the necessary permits, the materials required for the maintenance were also prepared. The maintenance work involved primarily replacing the combination valve, plungers, and packing, as well as inspecting the crankcase connecting rods, rod bearings, high and low speed couplings, and coil springs. The oil filter and the pump outlet filter screen were also cleaned. After 5 hours of hard work, the maintenance was successfully completed, and the system was brought back online immediately after more fluid was added to it. To ensure the successful completion of this maintenance work, the workshop prepared a safety maintenance plan at the beginning of the month and organized training for all staff, which played a key role in ensuring safe and stable operations thereafter.
