It is reported that the two projects set to commence construction this time are part of the second batch of major projects aimed at transforming old industrial models into new ones, approved by the group company following the early completion and operation of Lu Nan Chemical’s purification and upgrading project. These projects represent important steps in implementing the provincial initiatives for the transformation and upgrading of the chemical industry, in establishing Zaozhuang as a model base for high-end chemical manufacturing, and in accelerating the development of Tengzhou’s coal-based chemical industry cluster worth hundreds of billions. They hold great significance for promoting the high-quality economic and social development of both enterprises and regions. It is understood that the project for producing 40,000 tons per year of high-end modified polyoxymethylene is expected to be completed and put into operation in April 2020, with a total investment of 691 million yuan. The project was included in Shandong Province’s first batch of projects for the transformation from old to new economic drivers, and it was also designated as a key project in Shandong Province for 2018. The total investment in the energy-saving upgrade project for the power system is 261 million yuan. Completion and commissioning are scheduled for the end of 2019, at which time it will replace the 6 medium-temperature and medium-pressure boilers built at different times, which have low combustion efficiency, high energy consumption, and insufficient output. At every stage of equipment procurement and project construction, the project will fully incorporate automated, information-based, and intelligent technologies, utilizing intelligent control platforms for subsequent operations. This will enable not only automated packaging but also automated dosing and automatic sampling for analysis; as a result, the operating efficiency of the equipment and the quality of the products will reach advanced levels in China. Energy-saving upgrade project for the power system: The total investment in this project is 261 million yuan. It involves the construction of a high-temperature and high-pressure coal-fired boiler with a steam production capacity of 480 tons per hour, along with the associated systems. The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2019; at that time, it will replace the 6 medium-temperature and medium-pressure boilers currently in use by the company, which have low combustion efficiency, high energy consumption, and insufficient steam output. By applying higher pressure on the high-pressure side and lower pressure on the low-pressure side, energy efficiency is improved; steam costs are reduced while the amount of coal used in boilers is decreased, thereby achieving ultra-low emissions of exhaust gases as well as energy savings and consumption reduction.
