The first phase of the Jingyuan Coal Power Clean and Efficient Gas Utilization Project has been put into operation. According to a announcement by the Management Committee of Baiyin High-Tech Zone, on March 9, the first phase of the Jingyuan Coal Power Clean and Efficient Gas Utilization (relocation and renovation) Project was successfully commissioned. It is understood that the Jingyuan Coal and Electricity Clean and Efficient Gasification Gas Comprehensive Utilization (Relocation and Transformation) Project is a large-scale coal chemical industry project planned and constructed by Gansu Energy and Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Jingyuan Coal Company in order to implement the policies regarding the relocation and transformation of hazardous chemical manufacturing enterprises in areas with high urban population densities, and to play a leading role in Gansu Province’s coal chemical industry chain. The project is located in Yindong Industrial Park of Baiyin High-Tech Zone, with a planned total investment of 5.467 billion yuan and an area of 1,089 mu. The first phase of the project is equipped with facilities capable of producing 300,000 tons per year of synthetic ammonia, 350,000 tons of urea, 100,000 tons of methanol, 60,000 tons of melamine, 50,000 tons of urea-ammonium nitrate solution, 50,000 tons of liquid carbon dioxide, 150,000 tons of concentrated nitric acid, 250,000 tons of nitro compound fertilizers, and 100,000 tons of liquid ammonium nitrate. Additionally, by-products such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, sulfur, industrial sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, and fly ash are also produced.
