Gentlemen, after researching a lot of information regarding the bolt adjustment for bellows expansion joints, I have come up with the following conclusions. I would appreciate your feedback: 1) The bolt rods of a single-section bellows expansion joint can be removed. 2) In multi-section expansions, the bolts on the outside of the long bolt rod earplates are always kept tight, while the internal tie rods can be removed or used to loosen those bolts. Please correct me if I’m wrong

Literally, expansion joints mostly relate to internal pressure. But for long tie rods, if the bolts on the outside loosen, won’t the entire large expansion joint become unstable?
Think about it from a different perspective. What would happen if the expansion joint did not have a limit mechanism after being under overpressure? That’s why it is necessary to set such a limit mechanism. For reference.
