1. Can a flanged diaphragm pressure gauge like those from WIKA be removed separately from the threads? How to relieve stress? 2. If it can be removed, is this technology unique to WIKA? Can Brady do it? Thank you all!
Under normal circumstances, the unit cannot be removed; in practice, when reinstalling it, it is necessary to avoid any air remaining in the cylinders. While responding to this question, I came up with a method for the first time: to reassemble it by immersing it in an isolating fluid. It’s simple enough to fill the straight pressure transfer tubes with this fluid, but it takes some effort to remove all the air from the sections surrounding the pressure gauge.
