Henan Jin Kai held a review meeting on the safety and reliability assessment of the equipment for Jin Coal’s L furnace. According to Henan Jin Kai, the meeting was held on September 27, 2020, at the Yellow River Guest House. The expert group is composed of Professor Song Chengying from Zhengzhou University and others. Ping Dangsheng, a first-level inspector at the Henan Provincial Emergency Management Department, Wang Peng, deputy director of the Hazardous Chemicals Division, Zhang Jinqiao, assistant to the chairman of Jinmei Group and general manager of its coal chemical business unit, Xu Wenliang, deputy general manager of Yubei Chemical Company in Weihui City, Su Dong, executive vice president of the Henan Petrochemical Association, and Xu Junhong, chairman of Jinkai Group, attended the meeting. At the meeting, Huang Rui, deputy general manager of Shanghai Bener Company, represented the project team to provide a detailed introduction to the structural and process safety reliability of Coal Mine L Furnace. The experts present conducted thorough discussions and reviews, and offered constructive suggestions and opinions, enabling the safety and reliability of the equipment and processes for Jinmei L furnace to pass the evaluation successfully. Furnace L of Jinmei was developed through a collaboration between Jinmei Group and Shanghai Bener Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. Based on the traditional moving-bed pressurized gasification technology for coal, the L furnace incorporates modern coal gasification methods; it represents one of the best solutions for the efficient and safe gasification of high-ash-melting-point Jincheng anthracite coal. It offers advantages such as safe operation, high production capacity, high operating pressure and gasification temperature, as well as environmental friendliness and the ability to handle high-ash-melting-point anthracite coal. Hubei Huahua Chemical’s ammonia-alcohol technology upgrading project will involve the construction of a industrial demonstration unit for Jinmei L furnace. The relocation project of Henan Yanhua Chemical Company, which has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of amino alcohol, will use Jinmei L furnace. At present, all the necessary approval procedures for the Yanhua Ammonium Alcohol relocation project have been completed, including registration, environmental impact assessment, planning, and land-related approvals. The office buildings, canteens, bathrooms, and shift apartments in the factory area have all been finished with renovations ； The sales building, fire station, production facilities, and the main structure of the central control room have all been completed ； The pile foundations for the main framework of the gasification unit, the slag and water handling system, the electrical and mechanical maintenance workshop, the liquid nitrogen washing facility, as well as those for desulfurization, decarbonization, and ammonia synthesis have been completed, with a total investment of around 320 million yuan. The total investment for the project is 2.9 billion yuan.
