At 22:00 on April 23, the synthesis unit of China Coal Yuanxing Company was able to start operating and produce high-quality methanol, achieving operation one day earlier than planned; this marked the first time that the goal of conducting a major maintenance task every two years was met. It is understood that this major maintenance campaign is the longest and most demanding one since the company’s establishment. 78 external teams were involved, with 720 personnel taking part, and 375 maintenance tasks were completed, including 15 key projects. During that period, facing the severe situation of widespread outbreaks of the epidemic across the country, the company took strict and meticulous measures to carry out epidemic prevention and control work. It effectively managed key factors such as safety, quality, progress, and costs. All personnel involved strictly adhered to the maintenance procedures and technical standards, thereby achieving the goals of safety, environmental protection, high quality, and efficiency, as well as a successful commissioning of the system in just one attempt. Through this major maintenance campaign, potential safety and environmental hazards were eliminated, the quality of equipment operation was improved, and a solid foundation was laid for fulfilling the annual production and operation goals.
