Author/Source: China Tianchen Date: 2020-11-09 Clicks: 10 On November 6, the drying and ignition of the semi-slag furnace in the 500,000 tons per year polymethoxymethane production project of Tianchen Company’s Yanzhou Coal Industry Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Yankuang Yulin Dimethyl Ether Project) was successful. This marks the imminent commissioning of the world’s first multi-nozzle opposed semi-waste-boiler gasification furnace. As another technological innovation and breakthrough in the field of coal chemical engineering, it holds great significance for the development of this industry. The gasification unit is the key equipment in the chemical production system of this project, while furnace drying is a prerequisite for ensuring the smooth operation of the gasification unit. Since the project resumed operations in March 2020, the Yankuang Yulin Dimethyl Ether project team has had to fight not only against the pandemic but also against time. Through careful planning and meticulous organization by the project team, important milestones were achieved, including the lifting of the semi-waste boiler gasifier on May 31 and the modular lifting of the top-level steel structure on June 9. Hard work pays off; ultimately, through the relentless efforts of the property owner, supervisor, general contractor, and construction team, the semi-waste boiler gasifier was successfully ignited on its first attempt.
