What is the process of installing steel structures without shims? What does the construction process entail, and what tools and methods are required? It would be great if there could be illustrations to explain this.
At least in some areas I’ve seen them; it’s unclear if there are none at all. I’m not an expert
As long as the installation can be properly controlled, it’s not necessary to use shims
The answer above is correct; shims are not necessarily required – cement mortar blocks can also be used
Use mortar as shims, and place adjustment bolts under the base plate; leveling is crucial – details can be found in the appendix of GB50275
