The Texaco burner in the gasifier is a key equipment in ammonia synthesis plants; in the partial oxidation hydrogen production process, its stable operation is crucial for the long-term operation of the plant. In the domestic fertilizer industry, due to specific operating conditions, Texaco burners are constantly subjected to high temperatures, high pressures, as well as sustained thermal stress corrosion; as a result, their average operational lifespan is only 40 days, which is recognized as a factor that limits the long-term operation of fertilizer plants. “Whoever first unlocks the secret to long operating cycles for burners holds the key to the long-term operation of ammonia synthesis plants. ”said Guo Jixin, a technical officer at a synthesis workshop. To ensure a stable supply of hydrogen to the refineries, the Fertilizer Production Department continues to work on improving the long-term operational performance of the burners.
