Inner Mongolia Yitai and Donghua Engineering Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement Author/Source: Huahua Net Coal Chemicals Date: 2020-07-12 Clicks: 4 On July 9, Inner Mongolia Yitai Group Co., Ltd. and Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to pursue collaboration on Yitai’s demonstration project for coal indirect liquefaction with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons. The signing of this strategic agreement will further strengthen the foundation of cooperation between the two parties, enabling them to make full use of their respective resource and technical advantages in the field of coal chemistry. It will also facilitate comprehensive cooperation in various areas such as coal chemistry, environmental protection, and equity financing, thus achieving mutual complementarity and a strong partnership that will promote the rapid and healthy development of both parties’ endeavors. The 2 million-ton coal-to-oil project in the Yitai Dadao Industrial Park has a total investment of 29.07 billion yuan. It is the only coal indirect liquefaction industrialization demonstration project approved for construction under Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s 13th Five-Year Plan. Once completed, this project will play a significant role in achieving clean and efficient utilization of coal, promoting local economic development and the adjustment of enterprise industry structures, as well as ensuring energy strategic security. Construction of the project began in June 2017; to date, a total investment of 903 million yuan has been made, and it is expected that the project will enter its full construction phase in the second half of 2020.
