Does the dry-base consumption of coal refer to the air dryer?
In coal quality analysis, \"on a dry basis\" is a method for analyzing coal quality. "\"Dry basis\" refers to the composition of coal in the absence of moisture, that is, the composition after the moisture has been removed from the coal sample. This is because the moisture contained in coal does not generate heat; therefore, when analyzing coal quality, the effect of moisture is usually ignored. In practice, the \"dry basis\" is achieved by drying the coal sample at a certain temperature until its weight no longer decreases; at that point, it can be assumed that all the moisture in the coal sample has been removed, and the sample is then in its \"dry basis\" state. By then analyzing the \"dry basis,\" the composition of coal free from moisture can be obtained. This method can provide more accurate coal quality data, as it eliminates the influence of moisture. For example, if we want to know the contents of elements such as carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur in coal, we can use \"dry basis\" analysis. .
