Signing of the General Contract for the Coking Project of Shanxi Jinyan Energy Technology / Author/Source: Huahua Network Coal Chemicals / Date: 2020-08-05 / Clicks: 2 On the afternoon of August 3, the PC general contract for the second phase of Shanxi Jinyan Energy Technology’s coking project, with an annual capacity of 2.53 million tons, was signed at the headquarters of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation in Hefei. Wen Kezhong, chairman of Shanxi Jinyan Industrial Group, and Huang Qingping, chairman of Sinochem Third Construction, jointly signed the PC general contract for the second-phase project. The value of the engineering contract is 20.4 billion yuan; the contract covers equipment procurement, major materials, and construction costs. The construction scope of this project includes 2.53 million tons per year of 4*56-hole HT50710m regenerative top-mounted coke ovens along with auxiliary facilities, as well as supporting basic chemical processing facilities. Construction is scheduled to begin in August this year, with completion and operation set for March 2022, giving a construction period of 20 months. The second phase of the 2.53 million tons per year coking project developed by Shanxi Jinyan Industrial Group, namely Shanxi Jinyan Energy Technology Co., Ltd., is located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xiaoyi City, Shanxi Province; it involves the construction of a coking facility with a capacity of 2.53 million tons per year and a stack height of 7.1 meters. The total area of the project is 25.5 hm2, with a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan. The main project involves the construction of 4×56-chamber HT50-710 type regenerative three-stage heating top-loading coke ovens with a carbonization chamber capacity of 2.53 million tons per year and a height of 7.1 meters. Accompanying this are 2κ160t/h dry quenching systems (with a backup wet quenching system), 2×25MW waste heat recovery power generation units for dry quenching, as well as facilities for gas purification and value-added product recovery. The remaining coke oven gas is sent to Shanxi Jinyan Fine Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. for use in the first-phase project aimed at the comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas, which involves producing 400,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol along with 200,000 tons per year of LNG.
