! A large-scale coal-based new materials industrial park in Dangyang, Hubei, with a total investment of 11.5 billion yuan, is set to commence operations. Update date: 2025-07-03. Recently, the \"Dangyang Lvyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. Coal-Based New Materials Industrial Park Project\" was registered on Hubei Province’s online approval and supervision platform for investment projects, marking the imminent start of this project. The project is located in the Baling Chemical Industrial Park within Dangyang High-Tech Zone. It is planned to cover an area of 1,473.6 mu, with a total investment of 11.5 billion yuan. The facilities to be built include production units capable of producing 400,000 tons of ammonia per year (utilizing advanced pressurized continuous coal-water slurry gasification technology), 300,000 tons of functional urea, 80,000 tons of wet-process electronic chemicals, 80,000 tons of methylamine, 60,000 tons of melamine, 20,000 tons of dimethyl carbonate, and 12,000 tons of dimethyl sulfoxide. Additionally, new production workshops, raw material warehouses, product warehouses, as well as public utility and auxiliary facilities, and environmental protection systems will also be constructed. Upon completion, the project will accelerate the transformation of Dangyang’s traditional chemical industry toward greater sophistication, higher quality, and greener practices. It will facilitate the development of a new materials industry, help extend the industrial chain further, and attract more upstream and downstream enterprises to form industrial clusters, thereby injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
