Zhao Jinduo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University, introduced the basic situation of the school to the delegation from Changyi City, Shandong Province. Zhao Jinduo said that the School of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University focuses on the forefront areas of world science and technology, as well as the core and key technologies that have an impact on a country’s economy and people’s livelihoods. By leveraging its disciplinary strengths, it strives to enhance the school’s capacity for scientific and technological innovation, has developed research directions with distinct advantages and characteristics, and has trained a large number of outstanding professionals in the field of chemistry and engineering. It is hoped that both sides will take this cooperation as an opportunity to deepen collaboration in teaching and research, enhance the ability to transform research outcomes, and actively build a strategic partnership. Hu Xiaoqin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the Organization Department of Changyi City in Shandong Province, provided an introduction to the basic situation of Changyi City in Shandong. As the hometown of silk, overseas Chinese, nursery stock, and Chinese poetry, Changyi has, in the new era, focused its efforts on creating platforms for industrial development. It is striving to build two industrial parks worth 100 billion yuan each – the Petrochemical New Materials Industrial Park and the Yala Ecological Food Industrial Park – as well as two parks worth 10 billion yuan each – the Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park and the Manguo Clean Environmental Protection Industrial Park – in order to provide new opportunities for industrial growth. Emerging industries such as new energy, new materials, and energy conservation and environmental protection are continuously taking root and thriving in Changyi, providing strong momentum for sustainable development.
